Healdsburg Acoustic Guitar Festival 1999

In August 1999, Mauel Guitars were shown at the Healdsburg Acoustic Guitar Festival. One of the highlights of this annual event is a showcase with top players demonstrating some of their best tunes on some world-class guitars. For 1999, we were thrilled to have Doug Smith, a superb fingerstyle player from Portland, OR play four of his pieces on two different Mauel guitars.

More information on Doug Smith can be found on his web page here.

NOTE: These recordings were made with a single microphone, a single guitar, and a singular player. We have made no alterations and done no equalization to the original recording as it came off the sound board. The files are in WAV format with MPEG/MP3 compression to reduce download time, but with a resulting loss in fidelity.
